2 Rail Cedar Posts
Split rail fencing that only has 2 rails is commonly seen around parking lots, long driveways, or to distinguish pathways. This is because it only comes up to about 3′ in height after installation. One benefit of going with 2 rail posts is you reduce the number of rails you need for your project, which keeps more of your hard-earned dollars in your pocket.
3 Rail Cedar Posts
Split rail fencing that has 3 rails is more commonly used than that of 2 rails. The primary reason is that the 3-rail fence measures to be about 4′ in height after installation. 10 Ft Cedar Rails
When looking to build a split rail fence one thing that is commonly overlooked is the length of the rails. Most big box stores only carry 8′ rails, while here at RMFP we carry 10′ rails. This reduces the number of materials you need to complete your project, and thus, saves you more money!

Often when considering fencing options, split rail is the least considered when looking to keep kids or pets within its boundaries. This can be easily remedied by using weld wire on the interior of the fence. Not only will it help keep the things you love within the fence, but it will help keep out those pesky critters trying to get into your yard.
