Posts
The posts that are most commonly used for ranch rail fencing are 4×4 or 6×6, some will even go with a 4×6 for something in between. As far as deciding between the three, it all depends on how strong you need your fence to be, but also the desired look you are going for. Our team would be happy to help you figure out what will work best for your specific needs.
Rails
The most common rails used for ranch rail fencing are 2×6 and 2×8 in either 8′ or 10′ lengths (depending on the spacing of your posts). Another thing to consider is how many boards you want to use for each section of fencing. The most common selection is 3 rail, but 2 rail and 4 rail are also valid options, this just depends on your needs.
Weld Wire
If you are considering using ranch rail to help contain pets or kids in the backyard, then weld wire is a must-have. This wire is easily applied during the fence installation and helps prevent things from going through the openings between the rails. The weld wire we offer is 48″ tall and can be ordered in either 50′ lengths or 100′ lengths.
Hardware & Extras
