We here at RMFP were recently introduced to Parker Colorado Fence Company, A&L Fence and had the privilege of talking to owner, Angelo Terry. Keep reading to learn more about this great fence contractor!
Making the Customer Happy One Fence at a Time
RMFP: Thanks for taking the time to talk to us, Angelo! Can you tell us a little bit about how your business got started?
AL: We started in July 2018 in Parker, Colorado. I got my start on a 500 head cattle ranch in Hoehne, Colorado which is about 30 minutes from Trinidad. I was born and raised working hard on fence lines and tamping posts. I saw what others were charging and wanted to make it so others could afford it and get their property where it needs to be.
RMFP: That’s great! So you are in Parker, Colorado now- what other areas do you service?
AL: I really work all over the state. While I’m based in Parker, I travel anywhere from Trinidad up to Commerce City. I am also licensed, bonded and insured up to 1 million.
RMFP: Nice, and what specific services do you offer?
AL: My specialty is agricultural fence, and I also do privacy and commercial fencing.
RMFP: Do you have any employees?
AL: It depends on the job if I bring on additional help, but I usually do it all myself. I just want to make the customer happy and I do offer a 1 year warranty on all my work.
RMFP: What is your turnaround time for a project?
AL: It usually takes me 2 weeks for a ranch rail fence and I can usually do 100 feet of privacy fence in 2 days.
RMFP: What do you like about working in this industry?
AL: I love that I can be my own boss and make my own rules. I am truly passionate about making my services affordable for people.
RMFP: What makes your business different/ unique?
AL: I actually take the time to talk to customers to make sure their project fits in their budget. I also offer military and senior citizen discounts. I strive to be customer centric and will always fix things if customers are not happy with it.
RMFP: That’s a very important trait for a company to have. What is your goal for your business in the next 5 years?
AL: I would love to have 5 people to count on and to be spread out throughout Colorado. I’d like to continue doing AG fence and I’m starting to like installing ranch rail fence as well.
RMFP: How do you find customers usually?
AL: Mostly word of mouth. Some of my suppliers will hand out my business card to customers looking for a contractor.
RMFP: So, what do you do when not working?
AL: Working some more, plowing snow and I do love to ride horses in my free time.
