Amazing backyards aren’t just for the rich.

You don’t have to be wealthy to have an amazing backyard. There are a lot of things you can do with a small yard, or even a small budget, that can turn your yard into an oasis. We’ve chosen a variety of photos of amazing backyards that display something for every budget. There is everything from amazing pools to cool sandboxes. Whether your budget is large or small, all you need is a bit of creativity and some inspiration to get you started.

What Yard?

There doesn’t appear to be much yard in this photo. In fact, I’m willing to bet that this pool takes up the entire backyard. I love the design of it too, which appears to be Balinese or something similar. Not everyone can afford a pool such as this though. In fact, i’m willing to bet that the majority of people can’t. But it can lend some inspiration to those who can still afford a smaller pool and bar combo. Or even for those who simply wish to keep with a similar theme in their yard by putting in lanterns, trees and an interesting fountain like the one on the back wall. There are always little things you can take away from a photo like this.

Sandbox

Sandboxes aren’t just for kids. In fact, most people love putting their toes in the sand, even when there isn’t a beach around. The greatest thing about it is that it is extremely simple and inexpensive to put into your yard. All you need is a wooden frame, which you can make any size you want and with salvaged wood if you choose- and a bit of sand. Which you can buy at almost any home renovation store. Putting a fire bit in the middle is easy as well. You don’t even need to buy a metal pit like the one in this photo. You can build one out of salvages bricks or stones.

Natural Pool

Natural pools are a rising trend, and can contribute greatly to the title “amazing backyards”. The photo below makes this all so clear. Who wouldn’t want to grow up swimming in a pool like that. You might think it is a pond, but it is actually what they call a “natural pool” which means that there are no chemicals, no chlorine, no treatments of any kind. This is because the plants and rocks that surround the pool filter it naturally. You can even build one yourself if you want to. If you want to find out how, visit Clear Water Revival.

Slanted Lawn Solution

There are many homes that have sloping lawns, and not everyone likes this. One great solution is to actually cut into the each and great a lower yard seating area like the one below. It separates space well and creates an opportunity for an entertainment area. It often has beautiful results.

Little Hideaway

It’s always a great thing when you can have a place to escape from everything. A place to read while you sip on some fresh made lemonade and enjoy the weather. A place to nap, write, laugh with a friend or love. The face that it is surrounded by foliage, and the sheer design of the hideaway could make you even imagine it being the home of a fairy, or a hidden romantic spot at a top resort. Point is, a spot like this makes you think of anything other than a plain backyard. It could take you places. Certainly away from your worries.
