Pergola’s are wonderful additions to backyards and make for great social areas for your friends and family. They can give your property a bit of character and our recent customer is a shining example of this.
Here is a picture of Dave’s new pergola:
It looks incredible and he has perfectly balanced his landscape décor. Sometimes an addition such as this can over-clutter a property. With too much going on, it’ll be more difficult to have a definite focal point for your yard causing a decrease in visual appeal – and in turn, potentially decreasing your resale value.
But not in this case! Dave did an excellent job with spacing his features and the entire yard emulates a clean, consistent appearance that homeowners strive to achieve.
The materials used were:
- 2x4x12 Rough Sawn Cedar
- 2x6x12 Rough Sawn Cedar
- 2x8x14 Rough Sawn Cedar
- 6x6x8 Rough Sawn Cedar
- Ozco Hardware
I’d also like to highlight the fact that this pergola utilized Cedar. We’ve seen numerous pergolas use exotic hardwoods – which tend to be more expensive. Yet the finished look of this pergola looks just as good, if not better, than if it was built with hardwood.
The combination of greenery, beige gravel, and stone pathways creates a very modern and traditional look. This pergola complements his yard perfectly, great work Dave!
